Had to wait 40 minutes for the bus. Asked if we would make it in time with lunch. And yes we could! Great quesadilla and flatbread with Surinamese chicken. Fresh produce was noticable. Comfortable chairs and nice terrace. Great service to top it off. 5/5
So this is a lovely place to come and have a coffee with friendly staff and a nice ambiance, but the food is lacklustre at best. I've eaten lunch here twice. The Surinami chicken is about as Surinamese as my left foot (and my Surinami foster brother was there to corroborate that notion) and the second bread with Haloumi was a crime against mankind. The ingredients used are not bad, but whoever in the kitchen developed the menu needs to do some soul searching as to what cuisine he or she wants to present.
I for one find mayonnaise-based sauces drizzled over Halloumi an insult to the cheese. You don't do that. If you want to cross over, make the same sandwich with a light pesto drizzle, or dress your vegetables in olive oil, lemon juice and Za'atar, for all I care, but this was just disappointing.
Nothing wrong with the ingredients used here, just not a very well thought out menu. It wants to have Lebanese elements without having the faintest understanding what makes Lebanese food great.
Incredibly delicious food. Decent restaurant with nice staff and tidy environment.
Best food in the area! Their vegan/veggie options are excellent and the service is lovely. Looking forward to my next visit!
P.S. Don't miss their Espresso đ€©
Cozy, sophisticated restaurant in the heart of Emmeloord. We enjoiyed a lovely evening with interesting, tasty dishes, good wine and friendly, attentive service. Highly recommended!
Best dinner we have had in the Netherlands! Presentation was excellent. The varied preparation of the vegetables along with roasted chicken gave it all very distinct flavors..
bad treatment I came from Denmark and we wanted to come in and try the cafe but their treatment was very bad... they refused to let us in because we had a child with us they said there are no seats but it was so empty at their place
Serves very nice lunches. Service was quick and the staff great đđđ âŠ
